About Me

I am a game designer with a multidisciplinary background in storytelling, systems design, programming, and player engagement. My focus is on creating immersive experiences that blend technical execution with emotional depth. Whether building mechanics, developing gameplay systems, or writing narrative arcs, I aim to design games that connect with players and leave a lasting impact.

Programming is a core part of how I approach game development. My experience with C#, C++, Java, and Python, along with engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine, allows me to take ideas beyond the design stage and turn them into functional gameplay systems. I have worked with both new and legacy codebases, implemented and debugged gameplay mechanics, integrated middleware, and collaborated across multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges. Having experience on both the design and programming sides of development helps me understand how creative ideas translate into practical, maintainable systems.

Beyond development, I draw inspiration from creative pursuits that shape how I think about games. Hiking helps me explore environmental pacing and spatial design, while experience in theatre and acting has strengthened my understanding of character, tension, and emotional storytelling. Tabletop games are an especially important part of my design background. Games like Warhammer, Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, and Magic: The Gathering continually challenge me to think about systems, balance, strategy, emergent storytelling, and community-driven play. They have also shaped how I approach designing experiences that give players meaningful choices and opportunities to create their own stories.

Through the Bachelor of Innovation program, I have combined game design and software development with entrepreneurial thinking and hands-on consulting work. I have helped local businesses turn creative concepts into real solutions, and I apply that same mindset to game projects. These experiences help me approach development from multiple perspectives, balancing player experience, technical implementation, team collaboration, and practical results.
